The delicate wings and ephemeral nature of mayfly emergences have captivated anglers for centuries. They’ve also served as all-you-can-eat, gut-busting, aquatic-insect buffets for trout since the dawn of time—or at least since those wonderful fish showed up.

Hendricksons, sulphurs, drakes. You know the names, and you see them all the time, but have you ever actually looked at these bugs? I mean, really looked at them? Aliens, man. They look like delicious little aliens.
